Various events are taking place to raise money for this annual appeal. It just shows how far raving has been accepted into the mainstream when there is the possibility that raves could be shown on TV alongside baths of baked beans, sponsored walks and knit-ins! Biggest rave events taking place are the Dance Nation all nighter at Weston Park, Shifnal in Shropshire who offer a major DJ line up, as well as a fashion show and a mellow Mixmag tent. They have a license for 8,000 and hope to be donating \u00a325,000 from the profits to the appeal. Info on 0902 29674. In London, at the Roller Express, Edmonton, Upfront Promotions present Meridian from Noon to Midnight, especially for the under 18’s. Top line DJ’s, full production, and loads of PA’s including Wishdokta, Peter Bouncer and Reel II Reel. The tickets are priced at \u00a310 and all the proceeds are going to Telethon.
