Volatile State (Bigs Promotions) was an early-1990s UK rave promoter active around 1991–1992. They ran events at venues and warehouses in London (e.g. Wonderland Arena, Wax Club on Hackney Marshes and Tasco Warehouse in Plumstead) and collaborated with other promoters (notably Elevation).

The first Elevation event was at the Wonderland Arena way back in 1991. The the name Elevation came about because it suggests something being uplifting — which is what the raves are, uplifting!

Ravealation’s first event appeared to take place on the 3rd of July 1993, promoted (or at least co-branded) by Inter Space Promotions (ISP). Their early events were all held at The Rave Dome, on Southall Lane in Hounslow, and their official mailing address was P.O. Box 3136, Leytonstone, London (E11 2DQ or occasionally E11 2BT – Danny & Alex were mentioned on 1 flyer). During 1993/4 they aligned themselves with other promoters such as Elevation and Double Dipped.
After 1994, Ravealation began hosting more frequent events in Wembley, often collaborating with Strictly Underground and continuing their alliance with Elevation.

During November of 1993 the pier slipped into receivership due to the pressures of the economy. The Receivers took over the running of the pier and in their wisdom after watching how professionally Lee and Christian ran their events decided that they could do better, so on 11th April 1994 Lee and Christian were told that they were no longer allowed on the premises and all their equipment and trading facilities were withheld
